Our history

InteGraals is created by two friends who attended the same college in West Africa in Senegal.

Two friends who did their higher education in France and shared the same student room. During student periods, they discussed daily and recalled the memories of youth and childhood in Senegal.

One of them grew up in northern Senegal where he saw brave women throughout his youth transforming elephant grass combined with strips of recycled plastic into splendid baskets. These two friends being marked by the bravery of these women as well as the genius that constitutes the work carried out, they therefore decided a few years later to share with the whole world the know-how as well as the cultural heritage that constitutes each elaborate basket. . InteGraals was born.

InteGraals is a company that primarily markets handmade products used to revive your home decor and bring natural texture and visual interest to your spaces and living environments.

Weaving

The InteGraals baskets are all woven by hand. The development and design of each basket takes between 4 and 6 days. The baskets are created with locally harvested and dried Napier grass. Strips of recycled plastic are used to give a vibrant look and depth to the texture of the baskets. An ancestral technique of serpentine weaving combined with a contemporary design are used to make each basket of IntegreGraals. Confirmed know-how, finesse and delicacy lead to the design of each basket.

At InteGraals each basket is unique. Each basket has in it a cultural heritage and a part of modernity.

Respect the environment

At InteGraals the baskets are produced with respect for the environment. The materials used are high quality elephant grass (Mischantus belonging to the grass family) and recycled plastic strips.
